As a player I vet my own work to a high standard. I get feedback from coaches, and other players ranging from junior beginners to county and tournament players. Tensions ranging from 20-30lb.

The Process
Health Check
Check for frame damage. Grommets are turned and replaced as necessary each restring.
Customer's choice, I will order if necessary but I do keep many in stock. If unsure, I can advise based on my experience and coach's input. Sometimes have a suitable demo that can be loaned out.
String selection
Using Yonex standard string pattern to preserve warranty on new rackets, with minor adjustments to tweak the feel and playability. Time taken is usually 30-40 minutes depending on string choice, frame design, frame condition, grommet condition.
Stringing!
Post-string checks
1) Spin test. To confirm frame hasn't warped during stringing. This only really applies to damaged frame or stringing over manufacturer recommended tension.
2) Missweave check. Shouldn't be needed, of course!
3) Ping test. I tap the strings on my hand to make sure they ring nicely. This is a rule-of-thumb indicator of good playability in my experience.
